"Much has gone on in this past year. Changes may come, but fostering a sense of community is still what drives us. Much like food, water, and sunlight, the heart needs friends to care (and be cared) for. Tradition, rituals, sport, work, family, history alive in motion - be purposeful with those you hold close. You never know when it will be too late to send that genuine feeling, a misguided take (laughing at yourself later), or some witty nonsense. So before your 'better' judgment takes hold, let your heart guide you.
As the seasons change and holidays transpire, we come together. This calendar is meant to brush upon that common beholding: taking in the world around and sharing a little awe, a little thankfulness. Of course it's not all roses and sunny days - there will be storms, deserts, valleys. When darkness encroaches, let the light find a way to shine brighter. My hope is that this little bit of color on the desk, table, or shelf inspires some joy and a feeling of community each day."
